Paris has over 1000 “space invaders” itself. They are present on all five continents, and one of them has even been sent into space.

The title "Space Vibes" plays directly on Invader's core obsession: translating the energy and iconography of 1978 arcade game Space Invaders into fine art editions. The black colourway gives the work a stark, graphic quality. The pixelated alien rendered in high contrast. In 2012, Invader made a short film Art4Space documenting his attempt to launch one of his aliens into space on a modified weather balloon — reflecting the broader "Space Vibes" theme of literally sending his pixel characters beyond Earth.

Since 2000, Invader has offered ready-to-use “invasion kits” through his website. Each kit contains a pre-assembled mosaic of one hundred tiles, packaged in an anti-static protective bag, ready to be placed wherever you like.
However, these kits were produced in limited editions, each authenticated with a unique number, turning them into highly sought-after collector’s items. Their value has steadily increased over the past decades. As a result, few kits ever made it to the streets; most now reside in private collections.

Sea of Slime is a signed screen print from 2014, from Invader’s My Game Is collection of works. Limted by 50 in its edition, the vertical print shows two light blue drops of water, or slime, as the title suggests, smiling at the viewer, placed upon a checkered white page that reminds the viewer of children’s school notebooks.
