Who is Andre Teoman?

“Using the intersection between art and design as a place for experimentation, André Teoman produces objects, concepts and experiences with his own clever twist. The studio intends to be more creative and emotional than innovative and technological.”

Born in Portugal, André Teoman spent his childhood living in both Viana do Castelo and Istanbul.

The experience of studying design alongside immersing himself in the world of puppetry and theater shaped the designer’s creative approach while igniting a love of fantasy and surrealism that you can see in all of his designs.

In 2015, he founded his own studio. The designer showcases creative elements through playful designs that are as humorous as they are though-provoking.

André Teoman’s work features a whimsy world built using traditional craftsmanship and artisanal skills. Humor and intriguing themes combine to create an emotional bond with the user/viewer.

The designer has exhibited his work at Maison et Objet, Portuguese Design Bienale, Salone del Mobile, and Stockholm Design Fair. Awards and mentions include European Product Design Award Honorable Mentions and several A' Design Awards.

Teoman doesn’t stop at furniture design. He also creates these incredible sculptures out of porcelain that we totally love, soft furnishing and prints!

The sculptures are made from ceramics, they are playful and humorous in nature. They are the perfect edition to any collection and make wonderful standalone pieces that can be enjoyed by art lovers, design enthusiasts and anyone with a curious eye.

What makes them even more interesting, is he repurposes old ceramic ornaments then turns them into new sculptures with bright colours and funky designs.
