Andy Warhol’s Flowers series is one of his most iconic works. In 1970, he produced a portfolio of 10 screen prints, all based on a 1964 photograph by Patricia Caulfield, which had appeared in Modern Photography magazine. Warhol had already used the image in 1964 to create his initial Flowers prints, leading Caulfield to sue him for unauthorized use. Despite the legal challenges, Warhol’s Flowers went on to become highly influential, featuring his signature vibrant color combinations and repeated imagery. This 1970 portfolio further solidified the Flowers as a key work in Warhol’s Pop Art legacy. Flowers set of 10 by Sunday B. Morning are released on 2018.
